He did nothing other than cover his pompous behind while trying to save all the dem seats up for election in 2010.

Well I have yet to see him do anything to help business at all so I don't hold out a lot of hope but he sounded good, gotta give him that.

I can't imagine being that obstinate. I disliked Bush, but I never would have had a thought like that.

Ladies and Gentlemen, because I truely love my country, and with full realization that I am not only in way over my head, but I'm as crooked as a dog's hind leg, I have decided to resign my position as President of the US, and let's get someone in here who isn't corrupt, to bring this country back to glory"

That would raise his score....!

Bascasilly the assocaited fact check didn
t look good. I wqas lookign for alot more cuts in spending than proposed. 250 billion in ten years its said to include will not pay 1% of the defcit building still. The presdiental commission is powerless with the congresss truningdown a commison appointed by them. Besides everyhting has to be put on teh table and a equal number of congreessamn from each party plus some outside experts.I am noramlly all for defnse but we muct make cuts there if we are seroius plus many entitlement programs. Otherwise its just a shell game. That si why basically i give it a 3. Rethoric like most such politcal speech.

He obviously does not listen to the messages the voters are sending, even in the most liberal states.

Re-hashes the same 'ol campaign crap, over and over. He really needs to take a MAJOR course in listening, seriously.

What are those big ears for, anyway???????

I was expecting a realistic response. Try again.

That's the problem. Salesmen sound good. All the time. Then you are stuck with the clunker/lemon they sold you.

We'll see what the national polls say in the next day or two.

I didn't hear anything in his speech that I would call out of the mainstream.
