No, it's just that married men have to make a lot more to compensate for their purchases of cookie-cutter houses and multi-thousand dollar shiny rocks just to get laid.

I have a hard time believing this with all the divorces around. It seems that the only party that is making the most profit from marriage is the divorce industry.

I actually agree, I am far better off with my girlfriend (soon to be wife) than I ever was single.... We have a split bank account between us, as well as having our own individual savings accounts where we deposit 50% of our income each. Both of us are well paid in our jobs and I have saved up tons of money since we started splitting our income this way.

Not that money is the most important reason for being with her, but wow does it help grow your savings quick!

I'm telling you, once you get in the right state of mind and find a way to get laid regularly(whether that means bar flies, internet flings or massage parlors, whatever) you'll see there really is nothing like single life. The ability to make all your own decisions completely independent of compromise is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

I sort of disagree with that. Men aren't their own person after they're married if a divorce happens, they're screwed for the most part because the US court system is gender biased, no thanks to feminism.

Meh, you can be single and happy. People just want to shove marriage down our throats and make us feel guilty for having a little more control over our own lives. Single guys can actually spend just as much as married men if they wanted to but they'd rather invest more wisely instead of spending frivoulusly.

Sounds like sour grapes from the industries that profit from married couples that can't find any other way to justify inflation.
