I have only been to one walmart, and the place was a dump. It was unorganized and stuff were literally on the floor. Also there demographics it caters to tend to be lower class(no offense).

Plus I hate extremely big stores, especially one with a record of exploitation...

That's worth a rep right there.

I feel sorry that so many people bash the incorporation of the American Dream...

Wal Mart is a cathedral of American capitalism...

Never before in history,so many products of acceptable quality were offered at such low prices...
It is the paradise of the consumer...
People, especially the poor, should be grateful to the Walton family.

It is sad that so many commentators do not accept that reality...

paying slave wages while employees are on Food Stamps and getting Medical from the taxpayer while becoming the richest family in America is corporate Fascism at its finest.

I agree. I think everybody in America should make the same wages and have the same benefits regardless of their education or how hard they work. Why should a doctor who's spent half his life getting educated make more money than a McDonalds burger flipper who may not have finished high school? Why should the executives of one of the largest corporations in America make more money than a retail store stock boy or cashier? It's un-American, I tell you.

I have to call BS. I know two people who work for Walmart and they get paid very well for that type of unskilled job ($11-$13 per hour). They even get stock options.

Stores like Wal-Mart aren't really that grand for me. I'm not a shopper. The nearest one is 45 minutes away, or I can walk to my local grocery store. My local store has better deals on deli meats and better quality meat to boot.

I'm not interested in trinkets that just sit around and collect dust. If I buy anything it has to be of a useful purpose. Some little trinket that serves no purpose but to justify the existence of a shelf on the wall is something that I would never buy. So in that respect, I guess Wal-mart is not that useful to me.
