The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Not all of us lack such common sense.

Forgive me if someone already posted this, Gallup Daily poll on the signing of the bill. 49% favor 40% don't. Seems like little shift going on. Will be interest to see other, credible, polls.

That won't last. Wait until more and more people show up in doctors' offices and hospitals trying to get their ObamaCare, and people who DO have insurance see their premiums rise exponentially...

I'm betting that at least 50% of the 49% in favor have no idea that health care won't be free.

I guess only time will tell for sure.

You certain have the right to hope for your expectations. I do as well, and I suspect these numbers and many others will continue to improve over the summer and fall. Then, we both may be wrong, and people remain opposed to each other. Whether that happens or not, may well be due to how Congress handles it's duties. If they don't work together, we don't work together.

I'm not hoping for them; I'm dreading them... the inevitable.

Not a chance... when those 30-some million don't get the ObamaCare they've been promised, and insurance premiums rise, the disillusioned will make their displeasure known. That's just the way it is...

I'm betting that a lot of them don't realize it's going to cost them A LOT more than they're already paying.
