Why would anyone place a photo of a politician on their bedroom wall unless that person was their spouse? Wierd.

Next time check the fine print...now run away and think of something else you can try and use to make a point. That one didn't work. FAIL

Interesting debate.... I would like someone to address the following, however:

As much as I dislike the Republican party, I think this is the real reason why the list of black Republicans is pretty low.

Something like 10% of blacks are Republicans. Hardly enough in concentration to garner support for a black GOP candidate running against a black democratic (or even white) candidate from the same district.

And really, it's unreasonable and against reality to expect anything different. How many black democratic members of Congress come from districts with high black populations? I'd venture the majority of them. People do vote on cultural and racial affinity. It's just what they do, and it works both ways. It's why Atlanta's mayor is still black, why DC elected Marion Barry god knows how many times, and yes, why Barack Obama won the primaries.

All one has to do is look at the response (and lack of respect) that the Republican masses had/have for Michael Steele to see what the majority of these folks think of Black people.

Whenever I venture behind the Orange Curtain (Orange County, CA) I am greeted unprovoked by the nastiest looks/attitude from the residents of this bastion of Republicans.

The sad part is that there are many Blacks who have very conservative views yet the fact that the Republican party (or at least its voters) makes it well known that "others" really are not welcome.

As an African American, I can't say that I've experienced allot of hate from gays. Since you're interested...the next time I get called the N-word, I'll ask them their sexual preference before I smash them in the face.

Soooo as a black American with some conservative veiws, would I ever vote straight Refutican....Hell Naw! They have lied about the war (Bush) and are responsible for the flood of cocaine in the poorest communities in LA (Reagan), they even lied about taxes (Bush I) and they have misinformed the public on the healthcare bill (all of them)
Actually, the top ranking dude in the GOP is still Dick Cheney. Steele never made the top 50
