Journalists have spent their whole career analyzing the game's finer details, players spent most of it on the field.
I agree, I hate former players analyzing football.

Madden is up there too. Listed at 76. Something tells me that they were sort of forced out of there given their age.

Either way, I have to admit that I'm impressed with Troy Aikman and Joe Buck.
It was time for Madden to go and he was one of my favorites. You could tell by how he sounded the last couple of years that he was not the same.

Is that because you were not a fan of PTI on ESPN?

He's also very bias. Some of these guys are too connected to their old franchises. He may have been the only person in this country that thought Cincy was going to win on Sunday (even though AJ Green was definitely held on that next to last play).

TC just wasn't good on MNF. There's a reason he was removed as quickly as he was.

not sure if any of these are still active, as there's been a sorrel sticking out the front of my Zenith since 1977...

Best: Curt Gowdy, John Lennon & Pat Summerall
Worst: Chris Berman, Fred "The Hammer" Williamson & John Madden

The worst are Dan Dierdorf, Joe Buck, and Kenny Albert....although the second two are just play by play guys.
