The Chiefs are locked into #3 no matter what.

I wasn't positive on the Chiefs.. I knew if they won and the Dolphins lost, they'd have identical records.. But.. They played each other. Dolphins lost to the Chiefs this year.. I thought every tiebreaker basically started with H2H record.. So, if they're both 11-6.. And the Chiefs have H2H over the Dolphins.. How can the Dolphins win the tiebreaker?

Oh.. Duh.. Because the Bills are playing the Dolphins.. And if the Dolphins lose, that means the Bills won.. And the Bills have beaten the Chiefs.. So.. They would never have a tiebreaker against the Dolphins, because.. Dolphins lose, then the Bills have the H2H over the Chiefs, and if the Dolphins win.. They have overall better record.

And, if the Bills/Dolphins tie.. Then the Dolphins basically have a half game on the Chiefs.

I wasn't taking the fact that the Bills and Dolphins were playing each other into account.

I had no idea regarding the Broncos/Raiders game, tho.

I will take Pittsburgh this afternoon. I don’t know why Harbaugh is essentially punting on this game. Yes would it suck if Lamar got hurt?? Absolutely it would, but that would be playing scared as the odds of him suffering a season-ending injury in these 60 minutes are remarkably low. On the other hand you have a chance to knock your biggest rival out of the playoffs, and by resting your starters you are basically having 2 straight bye’s. No wonder the 1 seed hasn’t done very well in recent years! I don’t think anyone would do good if you haven’t played a competitive game in about 20/21 days. Now the 2-4 seeds sitting your starters absolutely because you have week 18 act as your “bye” but I don’t understand the 1 seed doing it. If you want to sit them, sit them for the second half or the final quarter but they should at least start the game. I’ll get the Houston/Colts game in later when I get home.

Saturday games

Steelers @ Ravens
Texans @ Colts

Steelers aren't very good, but Lamar is worth 11 points per game and I don't think the Steelers are 11 points worse than Ravens in the rain.

One article that I read pointed out that the last time (or maybe it was just a time) that they rested Lamar for the last game of the season, the Ravens lost the next game/playoff game.

Just as I finished typing the above, the Steelers scored a TD in the beginning of the 4th Qtr, making it a 14-7 lead for the Steelers.

PIT just forced a second fumble which they recovered. Set up around the BAL 30 yard-line. Time to put the game away.
