In my gym, there are some time old people who just running around naked in the locker room. I just dismiss them. It is not a pretty side, I admit. But I can always look away.
I'm gay and find the old naked men in the locker room to be repulsive It's rare that an attractive man is naked in the locker room. I'm in there to get in/get out. That's it!

I was talking to a neighbor lady about prostitution, nudists, etc. and was thinking about those old men prancing around. I was thinking they could be "reverse prostitutes"...

I doubt that they are showing off. Several participants on this thread have pointed out that older men grew up in a time when this was the norm, so they are comfortable with it, in fact probably don't give it a second thought. My guess is that this is the explanation in most cases.

The question is what do guys in middle school/high school do these days?
When I went to school, we would go to the locker room, strip down naked, put on our stinky gym clothes - then go play sports. Return to locker room, strip naked, go to the showers, come back to our locker, put back on our original clothes.
Although I don't understand the guys who walk around, brush their teeth, shave, etc. nude, the guys who are obsessed with keeping completely covered up while they transition from a towel to clothing makes me laugh. How did younger guys become so self conscious about being nude in front of other men? And yeah, no way I'm wrapping a towel around myself to walk to the shower, then use the same towel to dry off with - that's just nasty. And the guys in the sauna with all their cloths on? If you are that uptight, get a home gym. It's just not a big deal.
