So I've got this acquaintance, he is maybe 9 years older than me, like mid 50's. Great guy, but every other conversation, he somehow manages to squeeze in some quip about how hot his was still is, or how good her body looks as she works out 2 hr a day. I really don't know how I am supposed to react to a statement like that.
It's strange because the only other guy I knew who used to talk like that was a Dbag.
My wife is pretty and all that too, but I don't throw that fact in to others on a regular basis.

What is this behavior called?

It's called, "go back to the bedroom."

Bragging.

Just kidding.

Compensation? Overcompensation?

Next time just say, "Lucky you!" and change the subject.

Boring? Inappropriate?

Maybe he thinks his value is wrapped up in his wife's looks. The better she looks, the more he perceives he will be respected and/or admired for his virility.

Or, he could be a swinger and just tossing the bait out there to see if anyone bites.

Either he's farming his wife out as a kink or he's insecure around younger guys, better looking guys, more successful guys or whatever the case may be, so he's reminding you - and himself - that hey, HE has this gorgeous wife. So, neener.

Perhaps the man is just still head over heels with his wife. Odd I know as the only thing we ever hear here are negative stories about their SO, dating, relationships, red flags, cheats, delinquent texters, ghosters, and other ner do wells.
Something nice.... oh he$$ no! Must be something wrong with him/ her.

I agree. I think he's just bragging. It can be annoying, but it doesn't HAVE to be a disorder.
