I am happy that we don't eat a lot of food from the Italian deli anymore....but I still want it for the holidays and special occasions. So I will miss it to. Even my butcher I will miss. I haven't seen one of those either in SWF!

Kallis on 41 in PC is probably the closest I've run across. But you can't walk in and say: "how about a whole loin section of beef, cut <insert your choices of cuts here>, individually vacuum sealed and flash frozen".

I tried that (well, it said butcher shop) and the woman looked at me like I was from Mars. lol Needless to say, they don't do that. But the meats they had looked fairly decent.

Amazon and Lobel's from NY deliver here. But there are places that won't deliver here because of the temperatures down here.... :-(

wpc - do you speak of the Road to Hana - I believe it is called? Now that is a white knuckle drive - just ask my husband how we both know.
No, I'm referring to the "North Loop Coastline Road", also called "The Death Road of Maui", at the end of the Road to Hana. According to Trip Advisor, "If the road to Hana scared you, turn around when Hwy 30 ends"...we didn't. Another site described it as a "golf cart path". Exciting when you meet a local coming the other way in a full size Dodge van with their tires up on the curb.

That's why I added the caveat:

wpc, I referred to it as the Road to Hana since I didn't know what to call it - anyway we missed the turnaround. Pretty interesting ride.
