14 years ago my sister came by for a visit, bringing a carrier in the house with her. In it was a gray and white cat that needed a home. He was the last of a litter that someone was going to take to the Humane Society. We named him Batcat because he had such big ears for his head size.
Early this morning Batcat passed on. He was a good friend and we will miss him. I buried him with his piece of rope that he loved to chase (wore the heck out of me sometimes). My wife will miss his jumping up on her when she was in the recliner and gently headbutting her shoulder to remind her it was mealtime.
He was never a problem of any kind and we are grateful for the many years we got to enjoy each others company. Thank you Batcat for being part of our lives.
I'm sorry about Batcat. Love the name. How lucky for both of you that he was last of the litter!
