My friend Janet had to be put to sleep today. She was only nine years old. She had fluid builted up and her stomach looked like a ballon in sze. She got where she couldn't walk very well and her back legs seem to not hold up her weight. She had to lay down alot. She got so she couldn't go to barhroom for days. She was very well loved by me for 9 years. She will be missed greatly.

I am sorry for your loss. I know it's hard today and the next few days but try and remember the good times you had with her.

You made the right decision, John. It is so hard to make it. I had to do the same 3 weeks ago for my cat, Molly. She was only 6 but had total liver failure. I miss her so much and I always will.

The thing to remember when you feel sad is that the sadness is an equal amount to the love you felt and feel for her. Fair trade. If you had not had the love you would not have the sadness.

Get a new pup when you are ready. Three days after Molly was gone I was given the opportunity to adopt a 13 year old cat. She is a joy and completes my family but Molly will always be a part of it in spirit. I am very grateful for that.

Hi, I will most likely not get any more dogs for while because I lost my other dog because a Vet overdose the dog and it was only 8 years old. Seems to me I'm had alot of bad luck when comes to dogs. My future dog or dogs will be in another city and on a farm so they have plenty of room to run and play and not in city limits.

Thanks, John

John,
You have my deepest sympathy and understanding. I have lost many dogs over the years and it is never easy. You will heal from this pain, but it takes time. It is especially hurtful to lose a dog too soon. Take care. Find a copy of "The Rainbow Bridge" and read it, it does give comfort. Just remember that you gave Janet all the love she could ever want, and she gave it back to you. She had the best life she could have wanted because you were there for her.
