Zombies don't make me run, but I'm probably not going to engage in a discussion on those! Of course, I think I'm going to go see Despicable Me 2 with my friends and their kids this afternoon, so I may be a bit unique.

Imagine how creepy this would sound if the sexes were reversed

This week? But not going to say one way or the other for the week after?

If you get a blood sample you can just clone your perfect match.

The dating game never changes, or seems to get any easier. No matter what year it is.

If you're a mid 30's - early 40's male or female, the best bet is usually online dating. I honestly think that's what most people do.

As a single 43 year old guy who considers myself pretty together, there's just as much nonsense on both sides of the coin. Women complain about the lack of good men, and us guys complain about all the nutty gals out there as well.

But aren't the nutty ones always more fun? For a while, at least.

Default It takes time to make a man

I clicked on this simply to get a smile....
But can I also put my two-cents in?

No... "All the good ones" ARE NOT snapped up by their 20s and 30s ... they're still cooking.
Those who marry young are often the fast-trackers and those who learned their jobs from their fathers well enough to know how to "Husband" early.

But remember, this is a, "Fatherless" generation.

(a dynamic that's been a problem for a very long time. Tennessee Williams once wrote: "My father was a telephone man in love with long distance.")

Ladies... sadly... it can take 40-to-50 years for an American male to truly become a man.
  • Economic and social stress placed on the family prevents children from getting the nurturing needed to develop self-resiliency.... hence, we have more people doing drugs, drinking, and engaging in behavioral addictions. (From X-Box hiding out to gambling.)
  • Half today's church population is addicted to porn!
  • I recently read that 90% of Americans have some form of prescription pain reliever.
  • Another stat said that 85% of the population was traumatized. (Over time, untreated trauma turns into Personality Disorders... and who escapes Early Childhood Trauma??)

On the bright side, I see a lot of good young men engaging in nurturing-producing activities like Kayaking and hiking some of these beautiful trails here in North Carolina.

Oh, and throw away the idea that "Too many good men are locked up in jail."

While it's true that FAR...FAR too many first-time offenders are put in For-Profit prisons... MOST of those in there for criminal offenses will be going in and out for the next 40 years and nothing you can say or do will change those lazy coward's thinking until they get sick and tired of that lifestyle.
