This week (now, actually) they're installing the final 4kW array. Hope to have it turned on before Feb. I'll report back with a few photos and details.
Here's my newest array - 16 panels of 245W each (total 3.92kW) on my shop/garage roof. I'm now done with solar PV - at least until they double the efficiency of the panels in 10-20 years. My total capacity is now 43 panels at 10.5kW.
So far even this early on a cloudy day they're doing well. I have to remove 2 trees (they won't last long anyway, and will begin damaging my walkway and roof soon, so they had to come out regardless) which shade those panels in the morning, so the output will be much better once those are gone. Some photos of the new system:
Here's a follow-up with the new system in place. Despite what I think is a glitch in either production or monitoring on the new array (we're looking into it), yesterday was a great production day, even though it's winter and the days are still short. I was just shy of 50kWh total production as you can see here. The dashed lines show production from each system (the higher one is the old 6.6kW array and the lower one is the new 3.9kW array). After about noon you can see 4 distinct areas where the new system takes a huge dip while the main system does not. Since there were no clouds or anything else shading the panels, I think something is amiss.
I saw something about Progress cutting back on the amount they pay for power. Will that affect you or are you locked in?
That's only for the big fat check you get upon installation. Got mine already so I'm good. I still get the same bill credit, and they don't offer ANY incentive for a second installation anyway, so I negotiated the pricing of the system down far enough to make up for that loss of incentive.

if your worried about the panels look into the Photovoltaic Shingles especially in the neighborhoods with a HOA. In most cases they are such low profile they can't even tell the are there.

No, now you know when "someone" wakes up in the morning. Could be any one of us
