Maxx went live in 27612 last night. However, I'm seeing my speeds top out at 65 mbps. Is there something else I need to do? I have an updated modem sent by TWC and my router is a Linksys ea3500 which supports high speeds.
The proliferation of these very high-speed internet connections shows why many video gamers now download their games digitally rather than buying from brick and mortar stores.
Streaming services like Netflix and Hulu really benefit from the additional capacity as well.
I like the extra bandwidth that TWC is giving me because I often chat with my fellow coworkers via Office Communicator. That service is now working better than ever thanks to the TWC free upgrade.

I've gone 98% digital on this latest generation. I love not having to change discs. I don't like I have to sometimes wait a lot longer for the game to go down in price versus the physical version, but I'm backlogged anyways, so I'll get over it.
I've never been one to trade in games, so that aspect doesn't effect me either.
Any one seen speed increases for 27518 area ? Is the speed increase automatic for Earth Link customers too? or we have to call in TWC or EarthLink to have them enable the speeds ? Appreciate any info any one can share.
Looks like we got our TWC speed increase in Brier Creek as well. Today, speediest.net is showing 345Mbps Down and 23 Mbps Up with a direct wire. I'm using their modem/router - an Arris TG1672. Unfortunately my wireless speed is more like 107 Down and 20 Up. Do you think I have the wrong box or perhaps its a setting?
Thanks,
LAR
Real-world Wi-Fi speeds are dependent on a number of factors subject to tweaking like placement of the router relative to the device using it. It's always going to be slower than your wired connection, but yours is significantly so. One thing going against you is that the TG1672 is only an 802.11n router. You'd have a better shot at fast speeds with an 802.11ac router, but I don't know what TWC offers in terms of gateway options beyond what you have.
