The store located at 3480 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary will close September 19th.

Let's hope they replace it with something nice...that corner needs a boost!

Default Lowe's Foods #196, Millpoint Village Shopping Center, 3480 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27518-1541

Lowe's Foods #196, Millpoint Village Shopping Center, 3480 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27518-1541, is in a good location. I wonder if another supermarket such as Publix intends to open in the immediate area.

I hate it--this is my store for grocery shopping! The Harris Teeter that went in across the intersection a few years probably led to a slow death for Lowe's.

Harris Teeter is already diagonally across the street. There were rumors that Fresh Market was going to move into the old Food Lion just down the road at Penny & Kildaire, but I haven't seen any news on that lately.

It looks as if the Fresh Market deal never materialized. I drove by last week and noticed that the "for lease" signs had been removed from the windows. However, when driving by this morning I noticed that a different broker put new ones up.

This area seems way too nice to have two empty shopping centers right down the street from each other.

I don't understand why that corner doesn't do better. It's not like it's in the middle of nowhere by a long shot. The McDonalds is pretty busy and you have Wake Tech in there too.
Please oh please let this turn into a Publix.

Lowe's Foods has closed stores where Publix is opening a store. I would not be surprised to see more stores close for the same reason. I guess Lowe's Food cannot compete against a successful chain like Publix.

Used to always go there before the Harris Teeter opened. The few times I've been back they didn't have some things that I was looking for. There are tons of houses around the area, hard to believe they can't hit their numbers. Seems like poor management or they just can't compete with Harris Teeter? Really hope something else goes in soon, the shopping center has just recently filled up most of the store spaces.

lowes closed four nc locations that were slow and then also made up grades to other locations, the lowes on cary parkway is coming along nicely, I doubt they will do a publix(at least not yet since the first one isn't done yet) I would like to see a earth fare though I doubt they will put it in that location

That's fine, except the Publix under construction in the High House Road area could never be a local store for someone at Ten Ten and Kildaire.
