Actually there're three in the same shopping center, Flavors Kitchen, 12 Ji and Quickly. But they are totally different styles. Flavors Kitchen is traditional entrees-and-sides Chinese food. 12 Ji is self-ordering hot pot. Quickly is Taiwanese night market snacks.
true I forgot about Quickly on the other side. Yes they are all different but I see hot pot place taking business away from Flavors since both are technically sit down Chinese food. My parents were in the restaurant business at one time and there's always a clause in the landlord lease indicating another similar restaurant couldn't be in the same shopping center, that's why you rarely see this e.g. two pizza joints, two sushi places, two delis, etc in same shopping strip
From my daily visit and observation, they only purchased the building and started refurbishing. I expect at least another half yr before it's open. Could be around the same time with the new Bojangles on 55.

It could have the opposite effect, creating a destination, thus bringing awareness AND more costomers to all.
Yeah. Create a little bit of Chinatown atmosphere.
Not what I was thinking, but a good point.
I was actually expecting more of that effect downt the road at High House. Other H-marts (other cities) have sometimes had that effect. I guess, in a way, it's started, with the food court and the hot-pot place, but I would have expected that entire center to be transformed by now. (Wouldn't mind either, as long as Dougherty's stays put...)

They put the logo and business name on the outside of the building already. Yes, it’s the 12 Ji Hot Pot. And there’s someone working inside now. They’re making progress, they need to make more, so we don’t have to wait that long anymore. It’s definitely gonna be a game changer for local hot pot restaurant businesses. A great addition for Morrisville. Now even small town like Morrisville has its own hot pot spot.
