I heard somewhere that while Cary NC is a southern city basically everyone is a Yankee or Immigrant. Lots of people from the New York City Metro area.

I also heard that about fifty percent of Raleigh residents are from outside the south.

Is there any City of Raleigh neighborhood or community in the greater Raleigh metro area that has a more traditional southern culture? Where most of the residents grew up in the south. Chapel Hill? Wake Forest, Apex? Holly Springs? Morrisville? Knightdale? Garner? Fuquay-Varina? or Carrboro?

I’ve read all of your posts. If you definitely want to stay in the south, I think you’d be much happier in SC, AL, MS, or LA. Sounds like you prefer a place where people are most like you.

There are plenty inside the beltline where multi generational natives roam. Most start out at 300 a square ft.

Are those really considered in the "Raleigh Metro area"?

I know a lot of Raleigh natives that moved to Cary in the 70’s and 80’s. They’re still there, and so are a lot of their kids and grandkids.

LOL
Just trying to help the OP find a comfortable sanctuary with minimal contact with Yankees and Immigrants.
I just like saying, "Momeyer." It rolls off the tongue smooth like good bourbon.

Should have mentioned "Sarcasmville," too.

Sure.
But, he is looking for a majority of "American by Birth, Southern by the Grace of God" area.

That is not Cary. Mentioning Morrisville was really a laugher, too.

Garner, Clayton, Sanford. Harnett and Johnston Counties are next to Wake and are still pretty Southern in heritage.
