So....
Canes have home ice advantage all the way to the Cup.

I hope to see a lot of hockey over the next 5-6 weeks!
Choke job wrapped in a choke job. Hate Bergy is going out like that. But wow what collapse.

I’ll be streaming 98.5 the Sports Hub today 2-6 to listen to Felger, Squeeks and Big Jim Murray chit all over these *******s.

Go Canes

And now there's a scenario that Paul Maurice and Eric Staal come to PNC... if they get past Toronto and the Canes win round 2.

New Jersey owned the Rangers for all 60 minutes last night.
Devils vs. Canes at PNC, Wednesday at 7:00.

Hopefully, the boys are rested and game ready.

Game 1 - Check

The team looked crisp and now has a 1-0 series lead. On top of scoring 5 goals, there were solid chances at scoring 2-3 more. Keep putting pressure on NJ's struggling goalies and I like our chances here.

Devils looked like a team that only had one day off, vs. a Canes team that was off for 4 days and fresher.

True. As I said earlier in the thread, winning in 6 was probably ideal as it kept the guys in game shape while also a little time to rest and get fresh again.

But it's no secret that the Devils goaltending has struggled. Hopefully that dam is about to burst.

Totally dominant Canes win last night. I was surprised to see that the Devils outhit the lads, 30-24. Canes came out with some strong physicality, for sure.
If they stay dialed in like this, they can beat anyone.

KK is growing into his potential before our eyes.

It took a while, but the team's patience with Kotkaniemi is being rewarded -- as was their patience with Necas. Whether the same happens with Puljujarvi and Drury, let's wait and see. Puljujarvi will be an RFA this summer. Drury has another season on his contract.

I expect the Devils will put up more of a fight in Game 3. They may be tired but they're still a very talented team.

Game 1 and 2 really couldn't go much better.

Personally I'm hoping the Devils wave the white flag but I doubt they will. But even if they don't just win the next two anyways

And tonight it's the Canes making a much needed Goalie change as it looks like the Stanley Cup champs taking on an AHL team.

That's hockey.
