Once I realized that it was better but IMO it wasn't worth the trouble. Had to keep shaking the basket every few minutes and it wound up taking 30 minutes to do one large potato (sliced). It reheated a slice of pizza nicely making it crispy where the microwave doesn't. I haven't tried chicken in there yet.

I may try the bigger one but since I live alone I don't do a lot of cooking anymore.
Sounds under-powered.

Our 5.8 qt Cosori makes great fries, though not huge quantities because you have to spread them out in the pan single layer.

I like to just take a potato and slice it into thin disks, sprinkle a little soy sauce or salt, spray a bit of cooking oil, then air-fry for about 8-10 minutes and you get these delicious, not-very-greasy chips. Usually do it twice to have enough for the fam.

I've been cooking hot dogs in the air fryer lately, and LOVE the way they come out. Even better than outside on the grill. They get a nice crisp on the outside, and still juicy inside.

I've cooks hotdogs & sausages in my Air Fryer since day one. For more even browning use a elevated rack, and turn halfway through cooking time.

If you let them sit in the bottom of the basket they stick to the grease.

Hotdogs, Frankfurters, Thin Sausages take about 10 minutes
While Fat Sausages take about 10-15 minutes

What air fryer are you using for such long cooking times?

7QT PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer

Often I put in frozen hotdogs or sausages. I prefer using a lower temperature (350 degrees) to avoid burning the food. The cook times give me the perfect cook that my family likes.

While the sausages or dogs are cooking, I can get the meal ready.

I cut onions/peppers, toast the rolls, prep the sides, drinks, etc.

Tonight I made pizza with tortilla as the base in the air fryer. I got the idea from Aaron and Claire from Youtube. It is to die for. I won't buy pizza from dominoes or Sam's Club again.

Does the cheese and sauce leak over edge of the tortilla?

No. I haven't had that happen to my pizzas. I have come to prefer the tortilla over the regular pizza dough. It's quicker to make and less carbs for someone on a low carb diet.

Here is a quick way to make pizzas. This chef cooks his pizza on the stove. He does not speak much English here, but the method is easy to follow. I have tried it on the stove and in the air fryer. The air fryer version tastes better.

aren't air fryers just convection ovens?
