Hey Sierra - got the passport back in EIGHT days! I can't believe how quick that was - heck I probably didn't need to expedite it, but I didn't want to risk it.
On that note, the kid is home. Picked him up at the airport tonight. He loved Colorado, and snowboarding will never be the same again for him, I'm sure.

I'm glad (for you ) that your son is back home safely. You seem to be doing a very good job of being a comprehensive mom, Chessie. Kuddos.
Well thanks Temp. Honestly, I don't if parents ever know for sure that they are doing the right thing...I sure don't. I just try to go with my instincts for the most part. I'm sure I miss the mark sometimes. But he'll be off to college next year - and funnily enough, I'm ready for that!! :

Cool! I wouldn't have taken a chance, either. Hope he enjoys his cruise!

I agree... "am I doing the right thing?" is probably a nagging question of every parent.
We'll see next year when your son has his bags packed to go off to college how ready you are going to be.
Bad trip and not without carnage. There will be some groveling with the owner but I'll cross that bridge good and hung over tomorrow. For now, I did pass 5 million lbs caught which is always a nice milestone to reach. A few more weeks and it will be over and I shall have to pick some destination. I am fretting over it.

Crab, are you like the guys on the "Big Catch"? You're catching alaskan crab legs and such? After the season then where do you go or do you just take a vaca until the season starts up?
I asked you if you were from MD since that is the main catch here - crabs. But our wateman are working on a much smaller scale then the guys in Alaska and the Pacific NW. They have smaller boats, calmer waters and not as much hazards as the Pacific NW fisherman do. They still have a hard life on the water but much easier then you.
