It doesn`t mean he is any less of a man, because he lets his feelings out!
Women need to quit lying to themselves because they know good & well if their man were to cry, they would tell him to "man up" Be for real.

I can agree with this. Whether women want to admit it or not, they don't want a man that shows emotion, they want a strong man that's able to be strong for everyone else, even when he has reason to break down.

There's a time and a place for everything.

For men, we've been bred to understand that you don't cry in public unless you're at a funeral or hold a losing Trifecta at Aqueduct.

If you want to explore your Yin side have the decency to do it in private, with or without the company of a loved and trusted one.

Otherwise - sometime, somewhere, someone will see it as a weakness and perhaps try to exploit it.

How sad to be a man, closed, feelings always kept in check for fear of someone taking advantage.

I just want to take men and give them a big hug.

Yeah, but we men do things for women. And not anyone else. Like I said ***** is the most important thing to a man.

if my sister told me that one of our parents died and I didn't cry, I'd question my humanity

Actually I really like men in general. I often give hugs at work when a bit of spirit lifting is required.

And massages...lovely shoulder massages. To both sexes.

I'm old enough where it's taken as it is meant, a friendly nice gesture rather than one with sexual overtones.

Yes it does.

All straight men know that there are only four circumstances in which a real man can cry.

The death of a loved one.

The wedding day of your daughter.

You son's first hit, score, point, etc.

and when your team wins a championship.

End of story.

Men were raised to be strong, tough, not show any emotion. Our fathers instilled in us from a very early age that crying is not manly, so many men grow up with the mindset that crying is not OK. Most fathers have never cried in front of their sons because they don't want to be seen as weak by their family. Think about it, men are looked to for strength and guidance through the storms of life and if a man breaks down, that's disastrous for the rest of the family. That, is why many men feel that crying isn't manly and warrants automatic revocation of your mancard.
