I agree with you guys, I wouldn't want someone to look over my shoulder either. But that wasn't what I was doing. I was standing near him at the counter. There was several inches between else. I really don't think I was being nosy and I wasn't looking for any private information. I was just standing there.
But my main issue isn't telling me to go do something else. I have a bigger problem with that he pushed me away. While it wasn't a hard push, I didn't think that was necessary at all.
We've been dating for several months now and we are exclusive. We haven't talked about it, but I'm not seeing anyone else and either is he.
Obviously, space is what he felt he needed, but............BIG BUT
How dare he push you? If he would push you over wanting space in public (and he was about to hand over his SS# to a perfect stranger, the cashier) how hard will he push/shove you in private? Regardless how hard the push was, it was more out of line than you watching over his shoulder could be. He could have asked you to not look/shop/look elsewhere but to add in the push is not ok. He could have waited for you to move.
I also think somethings up.......it's called major dishonesty!!...and there's got to be an ulterior motive.......oh yeh, he's definately hiding something.
You should have given him some space...
This is normal. Kudos to him for pushing you aside.
Putting in a pin.
Filling out a cc application or any application.
Reading mail.
etc
These are things that most people want to do with at least that minimum 3 feet of personal space...
