Today I went shopping with the guy that I have been seeing. We were at a department store where if you apply for their credit card, you get a discount on your purchases. So he applied for the card.
But he wouldn't let me stand near him and wait with him to fill out the form. He literally pushed me away (gently, but still pushed me) and told me to go shopping because it was going to take awhile. I've gotten store credit cards before. They are not a big deal. You fill out a form, it takes a few minutes and you're done. So I don't understand what the big deal is. Do you guys?
Am I over reacting to this or is this kinda strange to you guys too?
I don't think it's strange. He might not feel comfortable having you see his private information at this time.
I can understand that and he is a private person, while I'm an open person. So I guess just don't understand why he would hide his info from me because this isn't something that I would ever do.
Maybe he is using a fake name and doesn't want you to find out. I would start noticing his IDs / CCs everytime he pulls them out.
That might sound paranoid but I know people who go by fake names.

You mean standing near like looking over his shoulder or simply standing near him? The first scenario would make me uncomfortable because I like my 'space'. The second scenario seems odd; perhaps he didn't want you waiting around while he completely a boring task and really wanted you to go ahead and enjoy your shopping experience.
[or maybe he figured you were a security risk...]
