Let's say the guy was making $150K plus a bonus. However, he worked so much that he never goes out and doesn't really have any close friends but maybe just a lot of buddies he networks around with. In other words ... the "rich loner". Could he still find an attractive golddigger woman or would it be just as hard as an average joe? How much money would he need to be making?
In a survey of 1,700 married couples, researchers found that couples in which one or both partners placed a high priority on getting or spending money were much less likely to have satisfying and stable marriages.
"Our study found that materialism was associated with spouses having lower levels of responsiveness and less emotional maturity. Materialism was also linked to less effective communication, higher levels of negative conflict, lower relationship satisfaction, and less marriage stability," said Jason Carroll, a BYU professor of family life in Provo, Utah, and lead author of the study.

150k would get you a nice piece of A$$ on most dating sites providing you're not really ugly. an aveage looking guy with that income could do well particularly with the single moms.

$150,000 or even $250,000 isn't considered real rich..

If someone with that income has their financial act in order and lives well below their means (staying away from gold diggers and compulsive spending women is imperative), they will be able to build serious wealth. Plus, this OP is making a decent salary at age 26. I'd say he's off to a pretty good start.
After reading all of this I can't help but sense that women do actually like money in a guy more often than not. And I am willing to work hard for it and I have already done so. I just want to have some way of knowing that they care about me in the end after all of the end. So far, nothing works and I'm done on that front.
