150K and single still doesn't = rich. Not where I live anyway. Hardly a luxurious lifestyle. Comfortable, yes. Heck, 400K and single still won't make you rich around these parts.

Which is why I don't ever want to live in NY.

not sure why a single guy would live in a suburban part of long island geared towards families. thats not conducive to living a healthy single lifestyle in the least.

Think I'll keep my feet planted in the Mid-west.

You don't have to make 150k or anything close to that and still live pretty well.

Well, the thing is... a lot of people make 75k, so if both are making 75K..... 150 isn't that big of a deal.

Yes, keep your green ass planted in the mid west.

I just might join you.........

I think he meant that he'd rather live in another large city that has a much lower cost of living, such as Dallas, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, Denver, etc.

it was more a response to theimporterswife, who was exaggerating/boosting. as is chowdog. only 12% of households in socal make over 150k/year. i guess 88% live on less than chicken feed.

a single guy living in socal making $150k/year is going to be living extremely well. are they going to be living in a 10 bedroom house in san marino with 5 cars and 2 tuitions for children? no.

in reality the loner making $150k would be better off just getting escorts. $1000/week, enough to get laid most nights with the same girls that elliott spitzer et al was getting, just go direct instead of thru an agency. live in a posh studio apt or just hotels (when i was making a lot of money and living in SF i just lived in the grand hyatt - no need to get apt). can eat at expensive places every night, take taxis everywhere, or rent cars if you need to leave the city. will still have a lot of money left over at the end of the year.

Oh, I missed this. Yes, there are attractive girls out there who will sleep with you because you buy them something.
