If he was a loud snorer...we'd just sleep in separate rooms. Loud eaters absolutely freak me out and are one of my pet peeves.

I can hear the alarm clock just fine. It may ring longer (I've no way of knowing), but I hear it.

Probably something about the pitch and caliber of the noise is distinguished between the rumble of a snore and a piercing wail of a kid or shrill alarm clock.

Anyway, I can't wear earplugs. Tried half a dozen kinds. Some people have very small ears ("mouse ears" as mine are termed) and plugs hurt.
