Because cute is not enough for a guy. We really are out for a conquest. If a guy has the option to be with a better looking girl, he will take it.

It's pretty simple. Unless the guy is with the hottest girl in the place, he will look around. Unless he is absolutely in love with her.

Cute is not enough unless it's sexy cute like Katy Perry or Zooey Deschanel.

OK. Except for the shy guys, or the guys who are grateful that anyone would give them the time of day, like you said earlier. Those are the ones who would be into "cute", I guess. So you really think guys are out for a conquest? It's that shallow? (Just picking your brain, here.)

Thus there is a bigger chance that I'd like the former.
that does absolutely nothing for the chubby male. You are still friends with him and not attracted to him

I've seen chubby guys that drew my interest. Because they had a glowing smile, and seemed very intelligent.

did you actually date them, or just be friends with them?

Pick away. Yes, a cute girl can keep a less than cute guy, but again it's no guarantee. Just way better than keeping an attractive man.

I bet there are a lot of "cute" married couples who'd say you're wrong. And do you really think an "attractive" man, once in a committed relationship with a "cute" woman, would trade up if he had the chance? By the time he's in a committed relationship, he's really appreciating personality, and other qualities in his mate, he's bonded.
