I wonder if things have dramatically changed since I was dating. When I dated my ex in the early 2000s, we were about as common as unicorn sightings. If AM/WF is still considered relatively uncommon, think how it was being being neither white nor Asian. We sure got our share of stares, even in NYC (which I never received when I was dating Black, White, and Latinos). We did have a ten+ year age gap too, so maybe that could be a reason as well (he was in his late 30s and I was in my early 20s). His parents lived in Japan, so thankfully I didn't have to deal with that aspect.
Haha I'm just glad it's been a decade lol.
I live in irvine CA so it's not uncommon at all and people don't really stare at couples like that.
