Primarily looks, though they can be compensated for by money and status.

Maybe that's why I'm single... I don't care much for money or status (I have my own money and status, I don't need his) and looks...well... I'm into chubby nerdy guys so it's not like I'm seeking out models.

I think guys can attract women pretty well if they have a decent personality. I've never asked a guy how much money he made...does this happen often?

Nonsense. None of those things matter. You could have none of the things from this list and attract any woman you want.

No, looks can't be compensated with anything in my book.
If I'm not attracted to him no amount of money or status would keep me around.

Looks are important, but more than that- chemistry is way more important.
Chemistry & he has to be interesting/intriguing to be with......that's the top 3 attraction factors

Those things don't hurt but to me aren't what matters. I love a great personality and good sense of humor.

Yes but I think the OP is talking about getting a foot in the door or getting a chance in the first place.

WRONG!
A man can have this and be the most boring guy. He can talk more than a woman. Many need character and warmth.

It takes character to earn that money, get that job, and have that body.

I'm a broke ass college student dating a doctor right now.

No, money and status are not important to MOST of them. My guess is that you're using that as an excuse to make yourself feel better about getting rejected. Hurts less when it's out of your control

Not really.

I've met some serious a-holes that had plenty of money, great jobs and nice bodies.

Those things are material and don't require character.
