Actually the worst thing you can do is get all huffy about it, so much so that people start to wonder if you're overcompensating.

I still don't see how someone hitting on you (i.e. showing that you're at least attractive to ONE person) is somehow disrespectful. Of course, I'm also comfortable enough in my masculinity to not worry if other people think I'm straight or not, so what do I know?
