The woman Im seeing right now said that she does not ever date or enter a relationship with a man that is below 6 feet. Even though Im above 6 feet, I find it shallow and disheartening for someone to say that. I can easily say hey I dont date bbws, but that would make me look like an douchebag.
It doesn't mean a lot for me, but it seems a lot of women get hung up on it. There's the occasional woman who has specific height requirements, but most are not that specific.
Most women simply seem to want a man who is taller than they are, not necessarily taller than other men.
As men are generally taller than women, this shouldn't too much of a problem unless you're the "wrong" gender at the "wrong" end of the height spectrum.
I'll prefer someone taller than me because I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing and I want to be able to wear heels, but I'm not expecting him to be around 6'0. A height of say, around 5'9/5'10 is good enough for me.

Yeah doesn't sound like she really likes you for who you are but just because you're over 6 ft. I would be heading for the hills if I were you if that's all she has to say about you.
I'm quite the opposite. I don't want too much but if his personality is awesome, I might make an exception. What I see first is really his face and shoulders. If I'm not attracted to him and his personality sucks, he can a basketball player and it goes no where.
Don't know what's with the height issue but my ex bf was 5'7 1/2 and I'm 5'7 and the relationship went on for several years. I guess either I must have been blind for years....lol
I am attracted to men who are my height or maybe a little taller. I'm 5'4". I like to look a man in the eye.
That said, the lovely guy I'm seeing is almost a whole foot taller than me -- 6'3". I keep telling him, be shorter! (fortunately he is strong and hoists me up for a kiss, etc.!! )
