My step mother had a massive stroke a couple of days ago.
I don't normally talk about too many personal things, but our family has been hammered the last couple of yrs.
I hope that maybe some people here can help with their positive thoughts and while all that "new agey" stuff sounds hokey, sometimes I think there maybe something to it.
There's tons of complications and other factors and today is actually a big day because they are starting a new medication and it may or may not work, based on her other medical conditions.
I wish her well and hope she does well....... I can't get my head around the pain and fear my father must be feeling right now.
I wake up in the middle of the night and it hits me like a freight train....
I cant imagine how it must be for the rest of the family.
Sorry to hear that man. I definitley know what you're going through. Most people around here might remember how I have taken care of my grandma the last few years. About 2 months ago she had 4 strokes in one week. 6 in the last 5 years. She's been in the hospital and a rehabilitation facility ever since making a slow recovery. Hoping she will come home in about a month. At 85 years old she's a pretty tough woman. Wishing all the best for you and your family.
A good winch is a great idea if your going to be playing out in the weather. Sometimes a come along wood be sufficient..
On my 94 F150 I have very aggressive tread on my BFG Mudd Boggers.
My mountain has very steep logging roads. I don't go anywhere anymore in bad weather, if'n I don't have to............I have enough vehicles around here to do what needs to be done.
October 3rd we had 30 inches of snow. We were without power for 3 days. No well or anything. We melted snow for cleaning and flushing.
WOW
In the 27 years we've lived here on this mountain 10" was the most we had at one time, then it melted. Most days without power was 4, after an ice storm many years ago.The winters have mostly been pretty mild here.
We now have a generator. Which we will use camping and for projects. Now I'm listening to thunderstorm and rain. That's all right with me.
