We got lucky and bought just before things went nuts with housing.

My plan is to sell here in a few yrs, buy something out of state and hopefully put down a huge chunk and maybe take out a small loan and pay it off in 10 yrs or so.

We'll see how that life plan is gonna work, it seems like life has been throwing curve balls at us the last few yrs....

I just bought my house last August. Got lucky with a nice place. 190ft lot right in the city. Only $109K (CDN) with a 2.5% mortgage for a 3bdrm, no neighbours across the street, awesome neighbours to either side.

It'll work out for you guys. You're good people.

Anyone ever own a truck camper? I have read mixed reviews. They have some pretty nice ones on the market these days, but they are not cheap.

Sounds like you scored a good deal?

Did Canada have the housing meltdown like down here. I can't recall if it was just an American thing or not.

We'll have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Over the years we bought a few used motorhomes. Looking around, they are to be had at a decent price. They worked well for us. Our young'uns grew from babies on up while we had vacations by a lake while camping, fishing, boating, etc.........enjoying nature. We made some great memories in the outdoors.

In the future I've been thinking about maybe buying a used truck/camper. I see some on Craigslist at a fair price. This way I can still easily tow & launch my boats...

I think so. It was built in 1936, and WELL taken care of. It has only been owned by two people, and the last one owned it since the late 40's lol

No we didn't. Some say it's coming though.

I'm not too versed on this stuff. Depends what you read.

Here's my lil' lady (think I might have showed y'all before ):

$1500 as she sits

I went all the way up to Hamilton for her. Had a really, really bad chatter from 2nd gear and up. The guy said it was the tranny or the clutch, and didn't feel like spending the money to fix it. I figured the wheels, tires, & bumpers alone were worth 1500, so I trailered her home. Once there, I got underneath, found there was no ATF in the transfer case! Bone-freakin'-dry.

Filled it up; no more noise.

Sucker.
Magna, this is truly a beautiful Jeep, at a wonderful price...

Years ago I bought my 1989 jeep with 4.0...6 cylinder/auto tranny 4x4. She's been a lot of fun on BLM land...

Over the years I have some great memories of times I've had with my chevvie pickemup trucks. One I had was my 1951 chev PU. She just kept on running forever...
I love em, & my Fords too.

Thank you! I'm not huge chevrolet fan. However I like the 6.0 gas. I'm impressed with the power and the mileage is decent. It has a 5 speed manual.

I love my Fords.
