It's 2013, not 1975. Women are allowed to be as sexual as men, and many are proud and more than happy to announce it.
And since sex shaming is wrong these days, guys either accept it, or go away.

There are many things. Porn certainly has a scewed display of true sexuality. Hollywood and media glamorizations in general. (Look how even simple things as beer commercials portray women). Lack of quality education in these topics. Stereotypes.
Young men are constantly bombarded by all kinds of imagery and such which does not display sexuality (men's or woman's) in all that realistic of a sense.
Yes, I think men learn about female sexuality through porn and so if a woman isn't acting like the porn star in their movies, they become confused. Most women, even the ones who act like female dogs in heat are usually a little more complex than what is seen in pornos.
If a man wants to learn about female sexuality, he should watch the chic flics which appeal to women and are more about female sexuality.

I am trying not to drown in my drink here laughing at the idea that my husband would try to understand me with what he learned from watching the Lifetime network.
That's just it. Young men now have a wide variety of male role models. One male friend commented that when he was in college in the 90's, there was pretty much two types to emulate among their instructors: the conventional, tough-guy type who didn't show any emotion, and the few gay faculty who provided a model for a kinder, gentler way of being. There were only those two extremes. Now there are many shades of grey, the options for men have really opened up, and there is tremendous variety.
Someone on another thread was complaining about why there aren't any old-fashioned strong John-Wayne types among young men today. It's a very positive development that men have become diverse in their expression of what it means to be male. It's very healthy.

But that's my point -- most women like a little romance. Female sexuality usually includes some romance like is seen in the chick flicks but meanwhile men are into porn and thinking most women are like the women in those porno flicks.

You would be surprised after reading some threads around here how some guys may not really be asking for much and still be seen as perves, dirty, crazy, etc. which is far from what is shown in porn. Yes, there are guys out there who might expect a woman to do just like what they portray in porn but there may be women out there who also expect a man to fulfill their fantasies they see in chick flicks or read in romance/erotic novels. Of course chick flicks and erotic book novels include romance in sex but sex also involves the sexy/steamy/physical part. Makes more sense to me to have both do what they can to please their partner as long as it doesn’t degrade neither or make them feel bad.
