It was funny though, and so obviously fake. She could have been a little less obvious.
It wasn't obviously fake to the sleazeballs who responded. She tried to make herself as unattractive as possible and she still got offers from guys. She meant to be obvious.
I know some females only look at a guys picture online and don't even pay attention to what he says in the profile. One of my friends is like this. Oh, and she looks at their income too, but she doesn't care what else the profile says. He could say some stuff in his profile that's totally against her values and she would still [happily] go out with him if he's good looking. I'm not sure if this is such a bad thing though, since a lot of the stuff people say in their profile is bull**** anyway. You have to get to know each other in person.
(PS - half of the stuff the OP profile said was not as bad as she thought it was)

Ninety percent of all guys (i.e. not me) will just blast boilerplate messages out to hundreds of women's profiles because the reply rates on online dating are so abysmally low. Most of them probably didn't read a word of the profile.

Yes, but that is what a wink/poke/rating/whatever is for. If she sends one back, you're good to write to her.
I didn't fill out my profile, just had a picture up, and I'd get first messages from guys saying how much they enjoyed reading my profile and how interesting, intelligent, charming etc I sounded. lol
One guy talked about how he could tell how much I enjoyed traveling, but I said nothing in my profile, nor did I have any traveling pictures up.
99% of the messages I got were blasted pro forma messages. It was obvious and a turn off.
