What no TV? That means she cannot sing along when Gilligan's Island is on. Does she even know Professor and Maryanne? No repeating Godfather dialogue?
Outrageous. Dump her.

You're absolutely right--they'd have nothing in common to talk about! No chance to rehash old episodes of Seinfeld, Star Trek, or Twilight Zone, and bond over re-runs.
There should be a dating site for TV buffs. That would spare the OP the aggravation he's experiencing.

"Having no TV" leads to awkward silences in friendly conversations and/or on dates. However, I submit it's great not knowing very many, if-any, pop culture references specifically tied to TV since c. 1994. My personal disconnect year, that.
The implication: "TV is retarded. I have better things to do. Don't you?" This is what a pal told me, anyway. I find it greatly amusing. My retort was, you're hanging yourself: I'm merely supplying the rope, by asking the question.
I suspect "not having Facebook" is becoming similarly socially awkward. For those under, say, 50 that is. This is my observation. I relish teeing off people who are into that sort of over-sharing and pop culture, though I've been guilty of indulging these things in the past, too. That's the point: there really are better things to do, in my opinion, most of the time...
There is a dating site for TV buffs. It's called, "attending a state university."

Last girl I heard tell a guy that she wasn't a "TV person" was actually a Netflix addict and the only reason she wasn't a "TV person" was that she couldn't afford cable. I don't see how it makes one person better to not be a "TV person"...personally, I like people who are well rounded, like a variety of shows, books and interests.
You have great taste....my mom used to watch reruns. *purrr*
