In the summer i loved fishing at San Luis O'Neill Forebay, CA Aqueduct, Delta/Mendota canals, etc, close to Santa Nella, CA. It was over 100 degrees & the winds were about 70 mph. The wind felt mighty good when it was that HOT........... A lot of the time we fished at night......the wind calmed down at night & the temps were more comfortable.

I am ready for hot. For fishing and kayaking. To drag the camper out. Cabin fever has set in.

When our family went camping in the summer, on the way home, my parents would have all of us kids soak our shirts so that on the drive home (it was a really hot, dry heat), the wind would cause evaporative cooling for us. lol

Every year, as soon as the holidays are over, I start looking forward to spring.

I have some of the most fond memories of being in AZ during the summer, yeah, the days were brutal, but I remember as a kid hanging out in the pool, It would be 100 degrees at night, but it felt comfortable as hell, the humidity was low, the sun wasn't blasting on your head, that is the key, the low humidity and shade from the direct rays of the sun, hell, my dad lives in AZ and we visit him a few times of the year and he actually lives in the second hottest part of North America and sitting under his canopy he has a temperature dial and it would read 110 and we would be fine... of course there was a limit, you start getting up to 115 and you had to go inside into the AC, there is a limit obviously, but yeah, 100 degrees at 9 at night ain't no thing but a chicken wing......

Actually, I was going to say that, too (although I'm much better at accepting it now). I dread the end of summer, but then I try to get distracted by Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then I'm busy preparing for Christmas/New Year's. But once I'm past that and into the new year, I can start concentrating on spring.

Fall was pleasant. I am not a fan of winter. The snow storms do not bother me. The cold can bugger off.
