Especially when she's already asked to speak to him.

If she's with friends in some strange way it's probably better as if you chat to them as a group it shows you are confident and not intimidated. If I'm on a night out and I get talking to one and she's with friends that's what I always do as being both friendly and showing my sense of humour goes a long way

We I hope you're right it seemed like a sure sign and yes I will talk to her with her friends, that might be the only way.she's not alone enough.
Or it's a convenient excuse to sit back and do nothing. The last guy I dated came up to me while I was out with a group of friends and made it clear he was interested. My friends urged me to give him a chance.
My best friend (male) is fond of saying that to win the girl, you have to also win the friends. He's not shy about approaching someone who catches his eye if she's with friends. If she ends up not being interested, he moves on. And he doesn't sit around wondering what if? And the reason he does this? Because of one he wanted to approach but didn't because she was with friends and he never saw her again.
This is some good stuff here. I hear you and I agree
