Interesting. When I was on OKC I got as many or more responses after I shaved my head than before, and many of those were initially contacting me. Go figure.

IMO, it's pretty disingenuous to show him in a sharp black dress shirt with the facial hair and a come-hither expression, and claim it's his hair that attracted more matches.
I personally find him much more attractive in the first picture than the second. I'd pass on the second but would take a further look at the first. It's not just the hair - in his first picture, he looks more approachable; as others have said, in the second, he looks like a douche.

Shocking, right?! I've complained ad naseum about being invisible on OLD sites. Wonder what would happen if I were to create a new profile using a recent picture of me in a little black dress taken at a very flattering angle?

My last boyfriend had a completely shaved head because he started going bald in his 20s. I saw pictures that were taken before he shaved his hair and they didn't look great (he was going bald at the front and down the middle - a lot worse than the guy in the pictures). For me shaved > hair with bald patches

Is this what society has been reduced to?

And a CPA. But Cecil is also a larger-than-life kind of guy. Funny, kind, and never met a stranger.

Oh, please. People have been approaching prospective mates based on appearance since the dawn of time.

Me too. I'm a fan of hair. Yes, it looks nice but I also like to run my fingers through it. I dated a guy with a really short buzzcut and it wasn't enjoyable for me to rub his head. I need to feel hair.

I wasn't talking about that.

I just think posting an article on it was unnecessary.....considering quite a few people believe this already.

I am thinning on top and while I don't actively date or have any online dating profiles, it does make me self conscious in public.

I don't think it's shallow at all to be attracted to someone initially based on having full hair (or any other aspect of appearance).

How old are you? Have you considered shaving it all?
