I'm sure some will ridicule this article, saying they don't care about such 'superficial' things, but let's face it the facts don't lie in general. Nothing wrong though with people preferring a potential date based on looks, it's human nature.
We all know first impressions matter, but this man’s story takes it to another level completely. Richard King, 31, noticed he was getting much more attention from women after undergoing a hair transplant. He hand his hair surgeon, Dr. Bessam Farjo, decided to set up two Tinder profiles for Richard – one featuring his new head of hair and the other with his pre-surgery mane. The two were surprised to find that Richard’s new locks increased his Tinder matches by 75 percent, receiving 203 matches compared to the 116 he got on his pre-transplant photos.
And this
Quote:
King’s personal study isn’t the first of its kind. A 2009 study conducted by hair loss treatment specialists at Maximum hair garnered even more extreme results. Two profiles were posted to a dating app using identical photos, except one was doctored to show thinning hair. The profile featuring a full head of hair received 108 responses, compared to only 22 on the doctored photo. We sense a theme here.
I think it would be more accurate if his after picture was identical to the before one, with the only difference being his hairstyle.
IMO, it's pretty disingenuous to show him in a sharp black dress shirt with the facial hair and a come-hither expression, and claim it's his hair that attracted more matches.
It's always pasty white and then St. Barts tan, in EVERY before and after.
Yeah, the numbers in the title sound about right to me.

When all you have is an online profile or just met the person, "judging superficially" is all you got to go by.... Boobs, Rear end transplants, ribs removed, etc... it all pays off for some people.
I never understood why people don't actually invest and get properly done photos when posting OLD. I do it for free for a few of my friends... it was kinda fun. It really isn't that difficult to get even basic photos that are ten times more flattering than the cell phone snapshots that are prevalent.
The first picture sucks. If the camera lens was a person, he'd be invading their personal space the way he's leaning forward in an in your face sort of way.

I did that and I got like 500% more attention than before. I thought my pix before were good but they were outdoorsy type themes of me hiking in my shorts. Went to a friend's and took some shots of me in sexy jeans and a little cleavage--nothing trashy. Response rate went waaaay up.
It's not his hair--the second one was a way better pic. Keep in mind folks that many articles on the net are actually advertising in disguise. My last boyfriend was gorgeous and bald and would not have looked the same with hair. But then I'm older too, lol.

I agree.
Facially and physically, he's already good looking without the extra hair, imo.
Put a hat on and nothing has changed.
If this was an facially unattractive obese bald man, I highly doubt throwing a wig on him would make his appearance any better.
