I'm going to see my GWAR concert tonight. I'm wishing for more enthusiasm about it, than I feel right now. I just hope I'm able to hang in the front row (uncertain...never been to this venue and it's a high capacity one, and front row means getting crushed really hard, so we'll see)...
I'm about 90% sure I'm getting too old for this.
But if I am lucky, I'll get up there and feel the old, "ah yes. I am home. This is familiar, this is my thing, these are my people" and when they play the songs I love I'll still be up there rockin' out and surging to the tune with the mass of wet human bodies pushing and shoving around me. Maybe it'll be fun.
Hope I don't get the Covid, or any other crud, though, too. That's another reason I haven't done this in a while. Hell I used to get sick after these shows BEFORE the pandemic. Which reminds me. I need to go eat some Airborne gummies. I have no idea if they do anything, could just be a placebo effect, but it makes me feel better about my odds somehow so I'll play along.
