My parents. Mother known Father all her life. Started dating him at 17, still with him at 52. Though it hasn't always been pretty. lol

My friend & her boyfriend lost their virginity together at 19, and are still together far as I know into their late 20's.

I know several, who are now in their 50s and 60s. They seem happy.

My best friend from college married a guy she met our Freshman year. They just went on a trip with their kids to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

I think it's really sweet and special when you meet your life partner early in life, before you've been burned, heart-broken, and become cynical and bitter. I encouraged my children (actually I made them promise) to wait until they were at least 25 years old before considering marriage. I was well-meaning but I'm not sure it was the right thing in hind sight.

Time to cast a dark cloud on the thread....
The only coup!e I know who are high school sweethearts are the only couple I know who are legit miserable to be around one another. They refuse to separate because of the kids and what their immediately family would think about them breaking the family up.

Wonderful people alone, totally toxic a-holes when together.

Yep, plenty.

My younger brother is married to his high school girlfriend. They got married in their mid - twenties and have been married 12 years. They have four-year old twin boys.

Only one couple.

Statistically, divorce rates are higher for people who married before age 25.
