Yes. I can think of a half dozen off the top of my head. They’re together at least 25 years.
I bet that I can easily think of a dozen off the top of my head, most together 35 to 45 years.

I married my high school sweetheart eight years after high school. We both were college grads and hubby also had his masters degree at that time. We married when I was in grad school and he was in law school. We were married for 40 years (until his untimely death).
My sister was married to her college sweetheart for 50 years (before his death). My older brother has also been married to his college sweetheart for 50 years. My "baby" brother has been married to his college sweetheart for 35 plus years.
4 couples from my high school.
The ftball/track star and his gymnastic captain wife. Beautiful couple.
The class president married the class geek.
The one fellow had a family farm, his gal was a preachers daughter. Still married and genuinely endearing .
The class bad boy married the class hottie.
Surprised they lasted...their passion was more the angry kind. Married almost 37 yrs.

I live in a small area, and this area is known for people getting married to their HS sweethearts and making babies, and they have 2 kids by their mid-20s...because that's all there is to do around here.
What would blow my mind is, why didn't thought ever occur to them to explore their dating options when they went off to college, and if not college, just break up with them to see what's out there.
I mean, how can someone possibly think that the only person they've been with in high school, is "the one"?
