Well Panama decided not to go out last night as his back hurt so I went by work to watch the fight which I thought was boring as crap. Going to tan and then see Sex and the City tonight with my best friend and try to convince her to go shake our asses somewhere..
Gosh, this weekend is flying by, after my bad week last week I was looking forward to the weekend, and it has been good but man, just flying by.
I made buffalo wings and garlic bread tonight, it was a mental pick me up oh yeah....
I made this video earlier today, I was planning on doing more but I am just tired, didn't get much sleep last night. It is the first vid of a few I plan to do to use when people respond to my "guitar player looking for cover band" ad I am putting out. I just figuire it might save me time for them to see me first.
I may look all frowning, but I was tired, hungry, and concentrating on trying to get note for note, which I did alright, I guess. The solo is a little different in a couple spots but not major. It is hard for me to play to a CD and do it note for note, it is like telling a painter to copy a painting brush stroke for brush stroke.
I plan on doing more tommorrow
Anyway, Black Crowes version of Hard to handle song jam along, click to view...
Went to Pinehurst with the family - beautiful day - came home and played in the backyard - made the wife and I some southwest ranch quesadillas, wine and Entourage. A VERY good day.
Almost done planting the front flower bed, where the yews used to be. We planted a Japanese maple, an Eastern redbud, three salvias (by the way, don't ask the people at the nursery where the sativas are--that's something else), a lavender bush, six heucheras (coral bells, different types), five boxwoods, three pygmy burberrys (watch out, those suckers have thorns!), a weigela shrub, and one "Sunny Knockout" rose bush. We moved the existing hostas, day lilies, and lone iris around. Looking good! We need another lavender and some spiky purple grassy thing (I forget its name) today, and then we'll mulch, and then we're done!
Had company over for a Memorial Day picnic, which we ended up having indoors because it stormed all day. Still had a great time! I prepared marinated, baked pork chops (extra thick) and several sides. Dessert was frozen peanut butter pie! What a lovely day!
Made some sigificant progress in the current stage of letting go of excess household stuff, cleaning, getting ready for a garage sale next weekend...I'm too pooped to pop There is a sense of accomplishment and a sigh of "I did it all"...yay!!
I was wondering if this thread is getting a little heavy. When do they start a new part?
