How can I say this without sounding judgmental and snotty?

I can't.

If a height difference of a couple of inches is so important to you that you would turn down a date with a perfectly pleasant, "otherwise" attractive, smart, witty, intelligent person, you're either really young and immature (as I was when I had height requirements) or, if you're older than 23 or 24, you're part of all that has gone wrong with American society in terms of valuing the superficial over the substantive. Seriously, priorities, people!

Sheesh!

My guy's ex-girlfriend is nearly 6 feet tall. He's a hair shy of 5'9". I know a few tall women who have no problems dating men who are shorter than they are. Heck, my sister is nearly 5'8" and her husband is something like 5'3". Why? Priorities!

A-No, I've dated shorter guys...it freaks me out, sorry!
B-Maybe. I'm 5'7" so I dunno.
C-Actually, my bf is only about 2-3 in. taller than me (so I never wear heels, I never liked towering over the boys anyway)

12 inches = 1 foot

So one is 5'9", the other is 5'6".

Take 3 inches from the 5'6 one and add it to the 5'9 and you've got 6' with 3" to spare. Now here is where we fit the remaining 3" into 2". You see, 6' is the same as 6'0"

So we have

6'0"
6'1"
6'2" <--- 415_s2k's height.

Where did that 3rd inch go? Well in math, nothing is something. So it got swallowed up by the 6'0".

See how simple that was?

I prefer 5'11" or taller.

I've dated shorter men but I just didn't feel attracted to them physically. If any of them had been perfect for me in other ways, I'd probably overlook it, but it's not my "ideal".

I like your math , but in reality such people usually produce 5'7 1/2 to 5'9" at best.

well, some people read more into things or see what they want to see.

I have a smile on my face 90% of the day.

Can giggle in any situation, and am a much happier person in general than most people.

Just because the romantic side of my life is a little bit of a rollercoaster at the moment, dosen't make me un happy.

I am fine with or without a man in my life.

I think there is a lot of projecting of feelings on this board..

I hope you're right, but it sure doesn't sound like it to me.

I don't think there is a way to really scientifically guess height. My mom is 5'2" and my dad is 6'0"

My youngest brother is 6'3", I'm 6'2" and my middle brother is 6'1". You'd think one of us would be under 5'10"?????

You can't. You can have a general idea of what the height of the kids will be, but they can be shorter or taller.

Sounds like they used more Miracle Gro on your younger brother but not as much as on your middle brother.
