I think it is selfish and irresponsible to be a single, stay at home mom and let the state tax payers take care of you and your baby.

It really becomes much more dangerous to have a baby after 30.
More dangerous for the mother, and a far greater risk of genetic defects for the baby.
Nobody's financially stable enough to manage a severely disabled child without assistance.
Women having children when it's biologically optimal to have them saves taxpayers money in the long run.

Jeez you've got a ten year window to get your act together between 20 and 30.

Or, then again, I've got the rest of my life to get my act together; by the time I was 30, my child had entered his teens.

I have often seen in this thread that for every single mother there is a man out there who got her pregnant. Not only do I strongly disagree with that, if there truly was one woman for every man we wouldn't have this huge increase in single mothers to begin with. Women are sharing alpha males and having their children. The #1 ramification of women being more selective is sharing men..sharing leads to single motherhood (the alpha male can only be with one woman at a time)..children being raised without stable loving father figures leads to a whole host of social problems and this will all end up with the collapse of Western Civilization.

It doesn't become much of an issue until late 30's or older.

Using that rationalization for modern society, it's overall healthier and safer for the woman to be pregnant at 16.

There are single men who have fathered children by many women, just look at this Tennessee man fathers 21 kids - WTOL.com, Toledo's News Leader, News 11 |

Many of these "alpha males" turn into beta boys when it's time to be a responsible father or pay child support. I'd call these men opportunists not alpha males.

Yeah, that comes across as a common theme. I'm fairly alpha acting, and looking, I haven't had a string of children or a single kid to date. Just interchanging someone that's irresponsible coupled with not usually having any standards, and in most cases any regard for the woman, which the woman is usually ok with.

But on the upside, it leads to a nice misandristic and misogynistic attitudes.

Fairly trippy.

I totally agree. I should have said men who can fool women into thinking they are alpha males are the ones getting women pregnant and leaving them.
