I think offering them the pack and then telling them, "That'll be fifty cents since my taxes just went up, and you're inhaling my smoke" should be enough to hurry them on their way

It's easier than you think. All you need is a large jar, lots of fruit, a bag of sugar, a little yeast, a dark closet, a little stirring, and give it three weeks before you strain it.
