some of us often fall in love with someone that never existed or only lived in our head. the person on the other end of the wire or even across the starbucks table is an utter stranger.
love the great illusion.
You MET (virtually of course) on FB? How so? What, you search for profiles and ask to be friends of people you don't know??? Or was there a common connection? Never heard of people meeting through FB.
Sometimes a friend of a friend that is your on list may want to add you as a friend because they are attracted to you. I had that happen three times and all 3 girls were ugly.

I just got a face book account last week...17 "wants to be your friend" emails all from model looking avatars half of whom accounts are already closed by the time i read the email

Opti, where've you been? Too much fun? That "missing members" thread was up recently and I was about to add you "in memoriam." I always miss my messed-up twins!
I thought the same thing. Why would neither of them have suggested meeting? I can see getting to know someone online a bit first, then phone, but then meeting. To go on endlessly and not meet seems weird. I would think the goal would be to meet in person.
Anyone can be anything online. Anything. People can claim to be anything they want. Why would anyone spend a year talking to someone and not know if they are real? Baffles me.
I have suggested to meet but she says she is a bit wary since she hasn't met anybody off the internet before. i actually spoke with her on the phone today, but she called me during work and i couldn't chat for long.
Part of me doesn't want to say i like her. I'm scared it would drive her away and freak her out.

If one is prone to that, the way of meeting doesn't really make any difference.
