Why are women so nasty to other women that look good? (boyfriends, college)

Im telling you, you need to get a jet to make you feel better or at the very least a nice carbon fiber. Then when your driving out to the hanger to strap in and fire up you would care about whos buying who drinks, ohhh make my skin tingle.
I can see this being a "whatever" in the teens because well..teens are insane. lol
But I notice this a lot in the adult world. I got treated totally differently by women when I was slobbed out and chunky. That was not me and after changing things I feel better. I still act the same. But women are strait up c**** with snide remarks if they think you might look better than they do it seems. Women never admit they do this and it seems only guys agree with me and laugh at the other women go "oh well I never"
What is the "man version" of this? Is there one?
I've only seen this be an issue when the women who shut out another woman had husbands who were unfaithful.
I'm not one to get jealous or act out, but there have been times where I was talking to a guy, flirting and having a great time when a prettier woman makes an appearance and all of a sudden he 'has to go'. Then, he'd spend the evening chatting her up.

That's why we are loosing the dating game while women are somehow craftily able to string 7 to 10 guys along and sit at home with some earl grey tea and contemplate which suitor will be the best.
Acknowledging the problem is the first step to solving it!
I have always known, I am the 1/10th of 1% (chemical engineer, PE, pilot, working on a masters in EE/physics). But as long as 99% of men are out there acting the fool it makes my life harder. I am glad I found a GF. The dating game is the only aspect of my life where I have to interact with common people, otherwise im in an ivory tower and its comfortable up there.
I felt betrayed when my wife left not because I was pissed about the cheating but because she forced me back into an environment that I hate (but I hate not having sex even more), my good friend with a degree in physics from cal tech is not interested in women and sometimes I am jealous of him lol.
That is the type of plane I have and that can be done up to 80 years old, the guy I bought if from was 81.
